All About Pocket Knives

How come the current Platts Case knives are advertised 'genuine stag' and yet the number begins with a 6 instead of a 5?

where, tom. at sheppard hills it's a four digit # and it is the item #. i think the patterns are the same as case

I was looking at the item number, not the pattern number.
