Browne&Pharr and?..........

These are pictures of two knives that have very similar characteristics. One is a 2 blade made by Browne&Pharr and the other is unmarked.
They both have machined nail marks, dovetailed bolsters and rosewood scales. The blade grinds are very similar.
From what I understand,B&P only made the one style of knife before they went out of the knife business.Any one have an idea on who may have made the other one? I cannot believe that anyone would make a knife of this quality and then not mark it in some way.
When I got it the blade was pretty messed up and required a bit of polishing to bring it to this state.I'm wondering if there may have been a hot stamp or a light etch on it originally.
Anhy information or speculation would be appreciated.
