Remington UMC 1921-1924?

Hello everyone,
Found this pocket knife in the desert a few weeks ago. Curious to know how old it is and what it orginally looked like. Based on what I've read on this website it seems to be an early model Remington UMC. It is in poor condition but not bad if it is really 90+ years old.

That is indeed an authentic pre 1940 Remington knife. I would say that it is either a R7103 or R7104. Its kinda of rare to see a manicure blade along side of the main blade, normally they are on the other end. If its a R7103 it used to have bone handles, R7104 had pearl. You could probably soak the knife in kerosene and take some steel wool , clean up the tang of the main blade and be able to see the number. The blades look to be nearly full, with a little work that would make a very good everyday carry knife. The more I look at the knife the more I think its a R7104. The pearl handled variety didn't have a shield, the bone did, I don't see any holes where the shield was pinned. Its not quite 90 years old, 75 years old is quite possible though. The tipped bolsters are a nice touch. Very nice find.
