Hello

I’m trying to identify a Gerber knife I’ve come across to determine if repair is even worth it. The extremely sharp blade seems to be is great shape. It has S30Y at the base of the blade. I’ll attempt to attach pictures. The slide safety is broken but the plunge lock seems to work well.

I believe it’s the Propel AO

Should I just trash it? Thanks for your help!

They are listed as having a "limited lifetime warranty". I'd contact Gerber.

Redstorm,

It is an 06 tanto, although gerber may not warranty it if you are not Military, LEO or First Responder. Your best bet is to find a dealer that can send it in for you. But you can always try, or contact them. It is un fortunate, that is a beast of a knife.

S30V is excellent blade material, and those Gerber 06's run well over $150 new. Hope you can get'er rehabbed. ::tu::

And ::welcome:: to AAPK!

Update: Wrote Gerber and they didn’t write back but I received a 06 F.A.S.T. in the mail about 12 days later.

I’m not gonna complain. Does the job and it’s new. Might find some creative project for the old. Very appreciative to Gerber!

Thanks for the help folks! Hope you are doing well.
