Nice Rope knife. WW I era i think ?
I am not a Case collector but i have not seen a circle tang stamping on a Case blade as seen on this manicure blade. Probably because i have only seen a few Case knives of this vintage ?

Seems to me that real collectors would appreciate a knife as this and at least make a comment. You know, ignoring posts and not caring about new potential members is not the way to have a great community or company/website/store. Input and giving info to those with less knowledge is what this place should be about. And spreading the knowlage to pass it on to younger members to keep knife collecting alive. To keep it interesting. This case, for its age is nice. Thanks KJ for your input. Didn't know it was called a rope knife.

I'm not a case guy, knife looks nice. If you would post your knife in the case collector forum instead of the case Classic forum you might get a better response. Sorry we didn't comment on your knife

The fact is the knife was posted, identical posts, in both the Case Collectors subforum (where it belongs)
viewtopic.php?f=66&t=65940#p798079 and the Case Classics subforum. Posting a Case knife in the Case Classics subforum is a common mistake - I’d guess maybe a third or more of the posts in the Case Classics subforum are actually about Case knives.
As for comments from Case collectors, there are a few in the one that was posted in the Case subforum. I’m perhaps partly responsible for there not being more. There was another recent post about this same pattern knife, to which there were numerous responses providing information and pictures from other members’ collections. Since Wildshane asked for information about the knife, I posted a link to the earlier post. Sorry that may have detracted from responses to Wildshane’s post, as those who have information probably posted it there.
Wildshane85, my apologies for not welcoming you to AAPK in my previous post in the Case forum. That’s not like me - I guess I just missed that you were a new member.

So if I don't comment I'm ignoring.
Hmmm... sounds like you're a bit put out.
I don't mean to be snarky, but have you commented on every post or thread on this sight? I haven't even read every post or thread on this sight! I just don't have the time.
On many I do read I'm just too ignorant about the knife or topic to make an intelligent comment. "Better to be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."
To be honest, there are many knives posted that just are not my cup of tea. I've put my foot in my mouth on several occasions commenting on knives that I, personally, wasn't impressed with. It doesn't end well. To those who know, I apologize.
On knives that really catch my eye, for whatever reason, I will comment or ask questions.
Just how it is, for me, anyways.

Steve i think this is not fair: "So if I don't comment I'm ignoring."
The guy was not saying everyone should comment. He expressed surprise as did i, that at least some Case collectors had not posted. I mistook this forum for the real Case forum. Didn't realize it is Case Classics forum.
Why find fault with others ? Find faults with their knives !
