All About Pocket Knives

I am considering purchasing this knife by Parker. It looks like it was heavily influenced by the Buck 100, but with a stag (maybe?) handle. Here is a pic:

It is supposingly made in the USA by looking at the tang, but I thought Parker knives were mainly made in Japan. I also read somewhere that some of them were made by Bear and Son, so maybe they made this one for Parker. I also question whether it is actual stag, or stag bone. I am not sure if any of you can tell by this photo, but I welcome all opinions!! Thanks!

With Parker just about anything is possible, but he did own the factory in Alabama before it became Bear MGC, and he made knives there. That may be one of them. Or not. It probably is, but someone here may know for sure. Parker did have a lot of knives made in Japan. And Germany.

From the picture it looks like stag but would need it in hand to be sure.

Thanks! I guess this brand is just not very popular here. I went ahead and purchased the knife and should have it sometime towards the end of next week!

That knife sure looks like it came from Bear to me. It’s just got that “look”. Bear’s lockbacks are pretty well made and work great, at least all the ones that I have handled. I know they have a reputation for hit and miss on the quality and fit and finish, but they make pretty good knives all around.

I have a Bear and Son knife that looks a lot like this, but they sell it as bone stag. I compared the looks of mine with this one and this Parker is a bit different. I love bone stag, but I am hoping this Parker is as advertised and is real stag!
