Etched rose on blade

Hi, I have something that looks like a big old bowie knife, The only marking on the blade is a etched rose without the stem. Any clue of the maker ect. any help would be great. Thanks

The only thig it says is hand made 440 stainless steel. Thanks for your help with this....

all i could find was china light industrial. they used a rose in a circle at some point. probably not very old. looks like it would chop down a tree!

Hey! I've seen a knife like that before. ::nod:: A guy tried to stab me with it. :evil: Thank God for my gunbelt. ::mdm:: He stabbed my gunbelt right at the thickest part of it, at the buckle. I took it away from him. ::smack:: I think I put it in the trunk of my old cruiser or in my old office filing cabinet. It may still be there. I'll ask about it the next time I go by the office, which isn't very often though.

Thanks for your help jonet143, yes i think it could chop down a tree. it must way 3 pounds or so. Guess i will put it on ebay with my other stuff. Thanks again
