All About Pocket Knives

New to the forum here. Appreciate all the wealth of knowledge that exists here. Question I have....anyone familiar with the Double Headed Bulldog knives? Are they produced by the same German company that manufactures the Bulldog with the twin fighting dogs as a trademark emblem? Pic is attached.

Yes they are the same knife, just different generations. At least thats my understanding. There are others here who are a lot more qualified to answer your question that I. But I put my pennys worth in for ya.

Yes, those had a short run. They started in 2000, replacing the standing dog with the year, standing dog 2000 was the last of the 4th generation. The double doghead started in mid 2000 and went until 2004. In 2004 they returned to the original fighting dog tang stamp. The double doghead started the 5th generation.

I question - Why aren't we now in the 6th generation? Afterall every change seems to have brought a new generation. SO, it only makes sense that the return to the fighting dogs would call for a change in generation, if not that then certainly the death of Jim Parker in 2004 would call for a 6th generation since Bulldog is not run by Jim Parker anymore. But that is my thinking, who knows who makes these decisions?

Thanks so much for the warm welcomes.....and the tips on the Bulldog generation runs. Just starting to read up on the Bulldog brand. I use to collect Case xx back in the '70's, but has been years since I bought/traded. Still have a few put back.

Yes, I hang with the Blues crowds from time-to-time over at "LittleBrothers" Blues forum....mainly finger-style country & delta acoustic blues.
