New project

I got this new to me display case. The buttons are numbered and priced. So now I'll dig threw my knives and try to fill the display and find the knives I dont have. This will be the 3rd display I have that will have knives that match the buttons. It will probably take a while to locate the knives I dont have so it will keep me focused. I'll probably try to come up with a magnet style holding system, not overly crazy about using wire to hold the knives in but I haven't made up my mind yet. We shall see. Here it is, I'll keep you posted on my progress.

What a project. Can't wait to see it when you are finished. Also let us know how many of the knives you already have. ::nod:: ::tu::

That's a real nice display! ::tu::
I use floral wire for my displays, but I've been thinking of switching to magnets.

Beautiful and historic displays espn. ::nod::
When securing knives to boards I use 30 LB clear fishing line. Invisible and never stretches loose.

Thanks for that idea Dan.
My book says I have about 6 more that go in the case. I'll have to look harder. This is what I have easily found.

Looks like another great project Keith.

Like pearlroosterman said fishing line works well. I have used 20 Lb. test line with quick release tension knots for mounting knives on displays. If you drill and space the holes yourself it makes a near invisible mount. If you use the board and holes you have it still is a great way to display with little visible other than the knives. You can tie the whole board with one line or use more if you want.
