All About Pocket Knives

In my unending process of sorting and re-photographing knives,I finally got down to the infamous "Drawer 9" in my large cabinet which contains mostly official and non-official scout knives.This also includes the metal handled four blades that were military issue over the years and some 3 blade scout and non scout knives.
This may take awhile as there are more than a few so please bear with me.

Ray, you have an outstanding collection of scout/utility/camper knives. Amazing variety of makers and stamps, makes me wonder if this may be the most popular pattern of all time. Seems that during the 20th century everybody made one, or had one made for their brand.

It’s difficult to do, and I fail at it a lot, but I try to refer to the “official” ones from BSA, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls, etc as “scout knives”, and the others as “utility” or “camper“ knives.

That is an OUTSTANDING line up of camper/scout knives, which is one of my favorite patterns.

Awesome! One of the reasons why I do NOT collect scout knives is because there are so many different flavors that I would never be able to do them any justice!!

Thanks for the kind words. So I guess in reply I should post some of the official scout knives to balance everything out.

Decided to add a few more to the mix;this time from outside the USA. Turns out this is a pretty popular pattern most everywhere in the world(that make knives anyway).
#1 is a Belgian military issue knife made by Amefe.
#2-8 are various French makers: Blaw-Knox;G.Peter;House of Cutlery(2);MD Inox; Noxi;and W.B.&Co.
#9 & 10 are Made in Germany

#1 Hoffritz made in Holland.
#2 Miller's Best Cutlery Germany
#3Richartz made in Germany.
#4-5 Two different Swiss Army knives

Thank you sir. It is a bit unusual. Here is a pic of the back side and a closeup of the stamp.As you can see three of the four reinforcing discs are missing.

And to further add to the confusion here are a couple of six blade scout/utility knives.
