A "gateway" knife

I bought this knife kit to give to my Dad, after he heals up from surgery.

I personally do not care much for imported knives, but I hope that it is a fun enough project to lure him in to doing some knife repair and/or modification himself.
If not, that's okay. For just under $13, it is a decent stocking-stuffer gift. (Well, I may also throw in some $5 Culpepper markdown scales. I detest plastic that tries to look like wood or stag!)

That's a great gift idea Reverand! It might push your Dad into tearing apart pocket knives.

I think this is an excellent gift for anyone who likes to tinker.
