Unicorn ivory ? I had thought unicorns had been extinct for centuries. Maybe this is like mammoth ivory, preserved in the soil or bogs ?
Maybe GEC could also get narwhal tusk for handles or rhino penile bone ?
I love these exotic mammal handles.

All the Unicorns I have bagged have horn and not ivory. Must be a different species.

Even if Unicorn is horn not ivory, i am still going to try to get one. It will be very unique !

I know you guys are just kidding around but the last time GEC used Unicorn Ivory it was a type of Acrylic.

Thanks Rick, I was hoping for ivory but kind of knew better.

Anyone trying to sell these unicorn ivory on eBay will have trouble, even if it is obvious by the name, looks and description. I’ve had EBay take down my listings on Elephant Toe Knives before. Same issue with mammoth ivory. I haven’t tried the “not ivory” handles on there but I would bet you would have the same issue.
Back to the topic, I stay away from most man made materials with the exception of Micarta.

Me, i'm ah wanting either the camel bone or the "unicorn" ivory. Or both if I get lucky .

Seems to be an infatuation lately with the Camel Bone. What's that all about? Is it considered "exotic", is that the deal?

Camel bone is denser and absorbs dye differently than bovine bone. My #43 in smooth orange camel bone is one of my favorite knives in hand because of the heft, and it looks great too. I'm a big fan of camel bone on knives.

I manged to reserve two of them. First a Tidioute in Jigged Bone and Second a Unicorn Ivory just for kicks and to see how it actually looks in hand. I'm sure if I don't like it I'll have no issue finding a new home for it.

Giraffe bone is even 'better' than Camel bone. I have seen Giraffe bone in a wide range of colors and some look much like the very best mammoth ivory.
Giraffe bone is the most dense of all bone, so i don't understand why it can take on so much color.

I would of been super happy with white smooth bone #62 Easy Pocket Congress. Ivory acrylic is garbage to me. I will be buying a rotten nanna bone #92. I am going to pass on the others. Now if a SFO #62 comes in Oily Creek cougar clawed jigged bone , Oily creek barnboard jigged bone , Oil Creek saw cut bone , bloodwood , bocote wood , autumn leaf wavy rogers jigged bone , chocolate almond wavy rogers jigged bone , barky rams horn , black linen micarta , dark blue camel bone , antique goldenrod camel bone , Brazilian Cherrywood , or blue river acrylic , I would jump on that. I will be saving my money for the GEC Trapper run that will be made in the first quarter of 2020.

Am I seeing things or does that pocket carver have 3 Wharncliffe blades? What is GEC’s fascination with Wharncliffe blades? I mean they are handy and all but can’t they put a clip or a spear blade on there instead of 3 Wharncliffes?
