Cattaraugus question

My father has owned this Cattaraugus knife for over forty years. He has not been able to locate any information on the knife. There are no identication numbers. The blade is approximately 2.5 inches long. Any information as to age or value of the knife would be helpful.

sailors rope knife? very nice, no idea as to value. i looked through most of my books with catt. examples, nothing yet. someone here knows!

Gregg,
Catt was in business from the 1880s until 1963. I would guess the knife dates to WWll, but that is just a guess. Since Catt outfitted the Perry expedition to the pole (I can never recall which pole it was), the knife could have some real history.
If no pattern number, I always assume that the knife was assembled from parts bought at auction when the plant closed.
Maybe some of our more knowlegeable members can help us on that possibility.

That be a WW1 Navy knife, new verison with manicure blade.
Any of those older one's, I never seen a pattern number on, at at least military pocket knives/cutlery. Any way you can get image of tang stamp or describe it?
Everybody made them that was in business during that time. NYKCo, Robeson, Schrade, Empire, Miller, etc....... ole w.r. and his boys I would guess and say would bring the most dollar wise and I also bet Camillus made the most!
