Awww....I happened to pick up on couple of Case knives....both seems to a little different
First.... a sodbuster 2138....1972 eight dot USA.... the blade has a clip somewhat like a saber clip...that doesn't appear to be altered
I've seen several sodbusters but never one with that shape
Second....A small coke bottle... P226 1/2...looks to be1982 eight dots lighting SS....a wooden handle with an engraved coke bottle with the words
LARKS with some more that I can't make out.....some one certainly loved that knife it's blades are almost sharpened away!!
Hoping someone has seen or could tell something about them!! Thank you

raincrowe, I can see how the big Sod buster was reshaped. The only advantage would be the tip or point of the blade would be a bit more pointed for some particular need, maybe. ::shrug:: As for the other knife, could you please show some pictures of the whole knife, as you did on the 2138? :)

I agree with treefarmer, that Sod Buster blade looks to have been reprofiled.

Yeah... tree farmer I figured the big sod buster had been reworked because I seen many sodbusters... none with that kind of blade and the blade wasn't short...who ever did that done a very good job!!
Hope this helps here are some pictures of the P226 1/2....It has been well cared for, just sharpened almost away...Other than that it would have been a beautiful knife!! :)

raincrowe,
I'd say you are right about somebody liking that knife! Reminds me of some of my dad's old knives except he always kept a straight edge on the blades, they reminded me of needles when he finished with one.
I noticed there is a Lark Brewery mentioned online, it is in Iowa. Rather unique way to make an advertising knife.
