This one caught my eye among a bunch of knives in a pawn shop in Georgia. Never had an Eye Brand before. I know nothing about them. My Copperhead has a shield that is stamped GEORGIA outlined by some figure that not nearly close to the outline of the state. I saw another C.S. with an Ohio shield a bit ago on ebay. So there must have been a series with the states on the shields? ::shrug::
The blade is deeply etched with the name CARL SCHLIEPER over HAMMERED FORGED over Solingen Germany and there is the "eye brand logo toward the tip. The of pile side of the clip it is stamped GXY-B. Fit and finish are good, blades are centered in the wells plus it has pretty red bone handles. :)

Nice one, Phil. Take it to the shooting house with you and see how it performs. I'm guessing that the date on it is around 1979 to 1981.

Nice knife. Eye brand is a great knife. Excellent construction as well as fit and finish. You are lucky. I too live in Georgia. I stop at every antique store and flea market looking for good finds. I haven’t had great luck finding any.
Nice find! I’ve never seen any with the states on them.

I have a large canoe German Eye with a handle inlay that says Mississippi. I've seen other state inlays on these also. German Eyes are great knives, but their blades are tempered HARD. Don't abuse or twist with the blade or it might snap off.

Thanks for the comments on this one. ::tu::
I did have to clean it up a bit and there was some rust on the tip of each blade, thankfully no pitting but a slight discoloration on the clip blade, mark side. The rust patches reminded me of blades I've seen that had been too close to an outgassing knife. ::shrug::
I'm just "as happy as a dead pig in the sunshine" with this knife even though I know diddly squat about this brand. :)

Carl S. Eye brand are amongst the best German made knives. I’m not sure if they are still in business.

TF you’ll like it just fine. The Schlieper copperhead is my favorite copperhead variation. They’re fantastic skimming knives and Schlieper Sharp is sharper than most imo. You'll like it real good I predict.
