Cargill Bolster lock Question

Both Bolsters slide to unlock the blade. I never seen one like this before. All others only slide one bolster, the other is fixed. Any information on this knife would be great.

I have a few Cargill bolster locks. I have one that both bolsters slide. Only one I have see until now. I thought I had the only one. I am only guessing but perhaps this was a way to make that knife functional for either a right handed or left handed person. Just my guess. Here are some pics of a few other bolster locks. Second pic has the lock on the rear bolster.
