All About Pocket Knives

Anyone know what steel was used for the 2003 Premier series? No indication on the tangs or the box

You're welcome. If memory serves me correctly, the Premiere Series were all SFO's for Clarence Risner and I believe they were all 420HC. I'm also under the impression that the "Queen Steel" label on the box means 420HC.

None of that is carved in stone. Just what I seem to remember.

Makes me wish someone saved a copy of the queen website before it went down. I loved surfing through it reading.

I did contact Austin, Clarence Risner's grandson, and he did confirm that all of the Premier series knives were SFO for his grandad. Didn't think to ask about the steel though.

the original "Queen Steel" was 440C.
