Up for possible sale or trade:
Case XX 1940' - '64
6235 1/2 Jack
Rough Black
Both blades very snappy with absolutely no wobble.
Crisp half stops
From my research, this knife was likely made sometime around WWII, as that was when rough black use was more prevelant.
I paid $90 for this one, and would like to get that back out of it, as it is a great old knife in wonderful working condition. Would be an outstanding EDC.
As far as trades go, I like bone handled 3 1/2" jacks, prefer no half stops. I like Case XX, old Schrade, GEC..
Feel free to message me with any offers, questions, etc.

I dont get it, 10 days and not one person has replied or made an offer, or expressed any interest at all in this knife. Kinda takes the fun out of the hobby when ya pick out a cool old knife in great shape, carefully take some nice pics, write up the details, make up the post hoping to do some trading or maybe sell to get something different....and get zero response.
Funny thing is I know if I was offering up a shiny new GEC for 80 or 90 bucks it would be long gone. Are GEC's really the only game in town now? I know they make a great knife, and I own a bunch myself, buy is no one interested in any other brands anymore?
I know I know, I sound like a whiner, but trading, swapping, buying, selling, etc is a fun part of our hobby, and it would be a bummer if that falls by the wayside because all people want to do is horde the latest GEC.

Mike, great old knife just not in my area of interest right now. What sells and what doesn't, it's a crap shoot. Good luck.

That is a great Case, but not my area of interest. You're right that everyone is going crazy over anything GEC (including myself at times) but the upside is that many of the other brands are becoming easier $wise to get ahold of since everyone has to save their paychecks for GEC's.

Mike, I've looked at your knife several times as the 35 is my favorite Case pattern and XX is my favorite era. I haven't posted or PM'd you because I can't put my money where my mouth is and I've got nothing to trade.
For whatever it's worth, I only own 3 GEC's and I get where you're coming from. I don't dislike the brand but they don't rule my world. Coincidentally, all 3 of my GEC's are the 35 pattern.

Must be something about that number.

Thanks for the replies gents, nice to get a little activity! The 35 really is a great pattern, very pocketable and visually appealing. Only reason I am looking to re-home it is because I have multiples of this pattern and am looking to thin things out a bit.

Mike:
I guarantee you if I liked that handle material, I'd a been on that knife like a fat kid on a cupcake. The only reason I didn't buy that knife is the handle material. I simply don't like it, but if I did, it would sitting right next to all my other Case knives.
Another reason is that sometimes when people are looking at the ads, if the reply# has anything other than "0", they'll pass right over it thinking that someone has bought it when it could still be available.
I didn't want to change that "0" to a "1" by posting something because I thought a potential buyer might skip over it.

Thanks Mike, I didnt think of that post count angle. I dont let it deter me from reading those posts though, or commenting on them. I think of it the other way, the more traffic on a post, the more times it jumps to the top, so more people will see it. I feel like if I comment on someone else's sales post it is helping them, as it keeps the post active.

Ray, I access AAPK in my phone nowadays, but when I accessed the site through a computer, there was a counter attached to each thread that said how many views each post had. Also, there was / is a counter that says how many replies each post has.

Mike, I've been looking at your knife for a while and then I'd go look at my pile and nothing that fits the trade description of what you like. Everything is too new, too big and/or has 1/2 stops.
Yours is a fine looking XX Case!

This is what I was referring to. It's actually a "Reply Count". When I look at ads that contain knives for sale, the first thing I look for is a "0". That tells me that no one has replied to the ad,
at least in this section.
If there is a "1" or any other number, that tells me that multiple people have taken an interest in that knife for sale, and most likely (but not always), it's already sold.
Simply commenting on a knife for sale will increase that number even if it's still available so some folks will pass over it just because that number is no longer "zero".
