All About Pocket Knives

Good to be back! Here is a really nice Needham Brothers Repeat Senator I just picked up. Came across this on eBay together with another knife for $20. buy-it-now. Couldn’t believe it!! I hit the ‘buy it now’ pretty fast!! Appears to be unused...still had some dried packing grease in places. Closed length is 3.5”.

Beautiful knife. Very nice. That's one of the beauties of eBay, not everyone knows what they're selling. After this encounter, I'd be willing to bet you'll be trolling eBay for more great finds. Nicely done. And thanks for sharing your new knife with us.

Not sure what ‘REPEAT’ refers to...a trademark they used for many years though.

Hope this deal repeats for you too!!! It’s so satisfying to pick up a knife like this for so little! Picked up a Stan Shaw fileworked pen Knife on eBay a few years back for $30. The photos they posted were so blurry and I was the only bidder! Just had a hunch!

I cannot see any "England" on the tangs. There are a few fine 'spiders' so blades are not stainless. If there is no "England" it could be older than 1891 and if so the blade surfaces are in extremely good shape: oiled and properly stored X 130+ years !
If marked "England" it still is an incredibly great find just not quite as old.
About how many hours of ebay searching for this amazing score ?
Maybe someone should start a thread "Best Sheffield Score for 2019". This knife might be the winner.

Thanks for that info KJ. I double checked the tangs and no England stamps. Just happened to see it during one of my random checks for Sheffield pocket knives. Looked like it had just been listed a few hours earlier! Cheers, Bob
