LOL..... here is a "knife kit"....LOL.... as the seller put it, that I found on the bay. I put in the minimum bid and nobody wanted any worse than I did, so now, its on my work bench. It looks like a fun exercise so we will see how things go.
Here is a couple of the sellers pics......

It's a little sad.... so don't be laughing now.
(I kinda looked at it as PRE-disassembled....LOL.)

I have a big family weekend ahead so I may not get much shop time. I'll TRY to get a few pics along the way.

Well, I got out to my shop yesterday and got started on this knife. I got the scales glued on and last week. I had just started taking pictures when my phone went dead. Oh well.... Sorry but this is the only picture of the clean-up.

Well, without any further ado.... here is my poor attempt at pictures.
This is Culpepper smooth amber.

One thing I found out after the knife was assembled. The springs are TOO STIFF..... I got bit by the small blade. Not as bad as it could have been but it sure wasn't any way for this guy to act after I put him back together....LOL.

Oh.... and another thing.... this shield took me over an hour to inlet into the handle. That is a complicated little joker. It's double pinned. Being pinned helped me get it in I think.

Thanks for looking y'all.

Thanks Steve!
Now that it is all back together , I sorta want to take it back apart and lighten the springs. I am going to have to get me one of those knife spring compressers that Dale sells. It was a booger getting those blades in.
