Hammer Brand Toothpick Rehab

Just finished this Hammer Brand Conversion. I was told it was from 1945-55...but I don't see the USA. Is this circa 1938-41?
Off with the deteriorating celluloid / shell handles.

Fabricated nickle-silver bolsters.

Finished with Culpepper Amber Wormgroove (MGC) bone. (Whatever mgc means?)

Doc, that is so beautiful!
That bone is gorgeous, and I love the extra scale pins. It looks like a $200 knife!

MGC must be an abbreviation for magic, because that it what you worked on that old Hammer Brand!

That knife needs to labeled a "Doc Brand" since you upgraded the bolsters and put on some beautiful scales! You made that one a sure 'nuff beauty Doc!
