so I have some older knives, nothing of any real value or interest other than family members had them before me. Mostly remington, mostly missing handles or broken blades... Anyways, I sent in an old case to be cleaned awhile back, and afterward I found this site and thought I could do that, I have a bench grinder....
so I think I have everything I need to start, even bought an old "cheap" knife to practice with. hope to meet some of y'all at the Parkershow on 12-7. I guess I just wanted to say this is a great place for info, enjoy it all here ::tu::
Trying to get Dave's book ordered, hope I don't clean anything too well.... I think I remember him saying to leave worn out blades in old knives.?.?

welcome to the forum. a bench grinder isn't the way to clean up a knife unless you intend to use a buffing wheel to clean tarnish off bolsters ect. still then the proper procedure must be taken to ensure it is done properly.
