Question

This is my first post. I enjoy reading the forum and have learned many things about my Case knives.

Last Christmas, my mother in law gave me an orange handle trapper Case. Obviously it comes with ss blade. My question is this. Who should I contact to have the blade swapped with a cv blade. I realize I may need to buy a new yellow-handle with a cv blade, but I'm cool with that. I just need a contact person I can call to do the switch for me.

Thanks,

Toby

Welcome to AAPK!

I know of several people who could do that for you but these two are the only ones I know of with websites and contact info.

When the variation you want is readily available factory made it makes better financial sense to trade the variation you do not like or sell it and buy new. The only justification I can think of for installing CV blades in the Trapper you have is to continue showing gratitude for the gift by using the Trapper with familiar handle sides.

Unless the scales on your knife have special significance, why not just buy a trapper with CV blades. You then
have the original gifted knife and a trapper with CV blades.

I love the knife but dislike the ss blade.

I simply want to carry/use the knife gifted to me, but I want a cv blade.

It's not about the money, or authenticity. I just want to use the special gift my mother in law gave to me.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably use one of them.
