Question About Near-Mint Camillus 44 Stainless

This little sweetheart rolled to the top while I was looking for something else.
The scales appear to be horn, but that may be erroneous.
The bolsters, what there is of them, looks like nickel-silver.
Factory edge, minimal wear, smooth & snappy.
I haven't been able to find any history about this folder
Can anyone tell me when these were made?
Are the scales horn, or another material?
What about the bolsters...and were there any other patterns made similarly?

Your knife first shows up in the 1972 catalog and is billed as having gleaming solid black handles with stainless steel blades. I'm going to guess that the handles are a plastic compound of some sort.

The #44 first appeared in the 1972 catalog. As you can see by the picture below, they called it a "Gentleman's knife" and later on (1979) it was listed as a "Sleeve board Pen". It has "tip bolsters" and only appeared in the 1972-1979 catalogs. Handles are black Delrin®. I'd say all the 4x patterns (except the #49 Tuxedo) were "similar".

The Camillus 44 pattern did appear in a December 1949 catalog. I KNOW it's not the same "style" as the 44 pattern knife in question. However, it is a Camillus pattern 44 pocket knife. It was called a Senator's Pen. Click on picture to enlarge.

now trying to find information on a Camillus, 2-blade and what I 99.99% believe to be
