Buck 102 Woodsman

Recently, I was able to acquire this Buck 102 Woodsman. It's in excellent shape, including the original sheath. Been looking for a long time and I finally found this one.

Those 102s are SERIOUSLY dandy!!!! I have used one as edc and hunting for more than 40 years. You will love it.

Very nice, read the stamp tip down (circa 1972) using 440C blade steel (my favorite). That was Buck Knife Companies “Bird & Trout” knife - however they never used that label, preferring Woodsman. Great old piece in fine shape! OH

It is my understanding that this tang stamp would signify a blanket "Pre-86". Is there a way to tell what year this particular knife was made? That would be very interesting to know.
I know you have some very old 100 Series Bucks that are gorgeous!!!

That is a great knife. The previous posters used such great words to describe it. I think 'SERIOUSLY Dandy' describes it best. Congrats.

Mike that's a classic. It's hard to beat a Buck Woodsman regardless of when it was made.

Thank you very much. I wasn't aware that the "inverted" part had anything to do with it. That's great news. The seller had two of these. One had the normal tang stamp, but this one had the inverted. Glad I bought
this one instead. Thanks again!!
