Tang Stamp Misprint??

Post by Branden3006 »

I was trying to pinpoint a date on a peanut the other day and it was confusing to me. Is there a reason why this stamp has 8 dots and only covers 7 years? Just curious if there’s a trick to it.

What you've posted appears not to be an actual stamp but an example of a stamp and I believe you are correct, it has an extra dot. Either of the first two lines on AAPK's opening page has the word "research". If you click on either one and follow through to Case, you will find a section showing the tang stamps through the years and the strange things that happened in the 1990's.
