I noticed the letters "S" and "E" in the word Case look lightly struck but the XX below it is struck very well. Doesn't look right to me.

I enjoyed his description like everyone would want to give him $1300 for a thing like that. I have now seen several of these knives. What are they, and where are they comming from?

Here is the Case XX knife in question on E-Bay. Notice the "S" and "E" in the word Case on the tang stamp. Then look at how the "XX" is stamped deeper than the "S" and "E" on the tang. If this stamp was done correct the "S" & "E" would be as bold as the other letters, correct? I could be wrong, more often than not I am, so if I am I'm sorry to the seller and any one that is thinking on bidding on this knife.

I would reccomend to anyyone that has any question as to whether these are fake....PLEASE just look in any knife book at pictures of real Case knives in similar patterns....you will see immediately that these are NOT EVEN CLOSE to anything that Case actually produced, ever. These are so bad that all it should take is a glance from across the room to tell that they are fake crap. Not trying to criticize anyone, just to educate.

Nice job of reading the knife to all that posted.
It didn't take much to determine that this knife IS NOT the real thing. You guys are getting VERY good at this.
More people should use this site

Yeah it's not too hard to tell on that one!! Someone needs to send the guy with the whittler an email & tell him what he really has!! As if he didn't know!! I wouldn't give $10 for that one
