Question on Grohmann knife

Grohmann makes a single blade slim knife in a trapper like pattern I really like. I never saw one hands on and know very little about them other than they’re made in Nova Scotia. Has anyone had first hand experience with this knife? I’d like some opinions before I shell out 70 bucks. Thanks. Also, they don’t tell you the steel type or hardness rating. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Somewhere in AAPK is a thread on the Grohman folding knife. I bought one new from a seller in China for $20, shipped. I then bought the same model, new from Grohman in N.S. for ~ $80 (?).
The knives were identical, including the weight.
I emailed Grohman and asked if some of their knives were being made in China. The reply stated that ALL Grohman knives are made in their factory in N,S.
I do not believe their reply.

Thanks for the quick response. I have nothing against Chinese made knives as their quality has come way up BUT I don’t want to pay a high price for them because I know that Chinese knives sell much lower. I bet Grohmann is NOT making them in China, but they are being counterfeited like many other products that China counterfeits. Thanks. If I decide to get one I will at least order it directly from Grohmann.

Rough Rider makes a far better folding knife than Grohmann. I doubt you would be happy with a G. knife.
