I want to introduce myself and tell you about my disease

Hi, I hunted pocket knives with my Dad in the mid 1960's. I did not understand why a guy needed more that one or two knives at that time. Then when I "knew" everything about 1968 or 69, I assumed he was crazy for buying 2 or 5 at a time.

I got the fever in the late 1980's when The Blade Show was in Knoxville, Tennessee. That is when I really caught it. I am really glad to have found the AAPK site, about all my friends that had a real LOVE of knives and related items have gone on to The Big Display Case.

It is not all about the $ for me, but I was raised a Capitalist
There is a lot of history in these things. I like the older stuff, all types and collect a few straight razors also.

I Hope I can share what I have learned so far and learn more, because I sure do not "know" it all now.

BTW: I also like to play billards.

Welcome to the forum 9ball. Great place to learn and discuss knives.
Those are some fine knives in the picture, I hope you post more in the future.

Thank you &.......

Okay since you asked, but that is all for now.

I would like to add, that when my Dad passed on I gave the knives he had left to his Grand kids which I feel good about. I only kept a few that I had gave him for Father's Day and that was a mistake, in my view. Any photo/image I put on here will be from my personal collection unless otherwise stated.

ALSO: This thread should have been titled: I want to introduce myself and tell you about my "Cutlery" disease. It just would not fit in there.

Thanks again
