Hyde these days seems to focus on stuff like scrapers and linoleum knives--but I would really like to find that butcher's knife and that "tire knife".

That "bead trimming" knife is pretty cool. Back then it was only $1.20. How times have changed.

With inflation figured in, that's only about $10.15. Inexpensive with inflation figured in, but I'm sure they couldn't sell it for even $10 today. Probably more like $20-30.

I really need to look out for one of those. Who knows how many I've passed on thinking it was some kind of tack puller. I really could use one right now. Some dummy at the John Deere dealer really messed up, and not
only left the label on the brand new lawnmower tires when installing them, he also let the tag get into the bead. Now it won't hold air. It's going back to the dealer, but I can't help but thinking something like that knife could cut out the offending sticker.

Well that is definitely not good. I'd be upset as well. Hope you get it all sorted out and maybe find one those cool knives too. ::nod::
