All About Pocket Knives

I feel like this was a fair price I like this style of knife. plus shipping I'm looking at 42 bucks$$$.
This is a very Rare Parker 1 blade "leopard" Lockback knife with "Genuine Stag appalossa bone" Scales. Beautiful Blade etching. This Piece was found in the box at an Eastern Kentucky Estate sell in a knife collection. There were only 100 Produced.. This knife is Beautiful and has never been used, carried or sharpened. These are very hard to find! ....SEE PHOTO..This is also a Limited piece...

Any more info would be great THx in advance.

Cool snag there Lenny. I'm not that familiar with Parkers but I'm sure they have some rare birds among their flock of knives.

3 3/4 inches closed so I'm thinkin about 3.5 inch blade. nice size looks like good craftsmanship too

Ya saw that one theres also another one at BUY NOW for 49 bucks. I figure I got a nice price, I hope parker is of nice quality, like the CASE knives I've picked up.

Well I have 5 Parkers knives do I need 6 to make a flock ?...

no the one with the weak spring I let go I won the one pictured way above brand new in the box. I feel welll brand new these are 40 bucks or so 30 years old and still in the box, made in America (not China) makes this a nice addition to my collection.

Great looking knife you have there Lenny. I have a question about Parkers knives. Wasn't some or most of his blades made under contract by Japan? Not saying yours is Lenny or trying to take anything away from the nice knife that you have, I don't know thats why I'm asking. I myself own a Parker knife that I like the looks and feel of. It looks like it's made of pretty good quality. It has a damascus steel blade that's very finger losing sharp and cuts 3 ways at once. Long, deep, and constantly. The blade on mine has USA on the tang stamp. Nickel silver bosters and the scales are what looks to me like a jigged black bone or burnt stag in the middle and smooth bone or stag turning to the color white closer to the bolsters. The scales may be stag for all I know. Then again I could write everything I know about knives in a match book. Well anyways, you have a good looking Parker knife and you seem to like it so, that's all that matters .

According to one of my Jim Parker reference books, these were Parker Frost knives. As you can see here, the first four of their import knives (I am assuming Japan). This example I show seems to have a wood handle, but the pins seem to be in the right place, the bolsters are slanted and the box is the same.

Help me out here. What is the exact tang stamps, front and rear. Maybe I can narrow down the years made.

There were, of course, Many American made Parker Frost knives. Not long ago I sold for an extremely high price, a 1978 P-K salesman sample box with knives made by Alcas and Schrade and Camillus.

Nice knife, just got it today in the mail very please with the fit and finsh. Shines up real nice to, to bad brass doesent stay that way.

They also did their Aida designed knives.
