I'm looking for information on a knife that has the inscription on one of the handles "Golden Gate International Exposition 1939" with an ingraving of the golden gate bridge.
One blade is marked "Colonia, Prov. R.I.".
Any info is greatly appreciated.

Do you think it might read Colonia..L.. as in Colonial Knife Company?
I would suggest you give this a try at Bernard Levine's forums....either bladeforums or knifeforums.
Good luck,
Bill

Go to the General section....he has a forum at both of these sites. He doesn't do free valuations, but he, or others, may help with information about knives. A picture is best, if possible. If not, quote the markings on the knife EXACTLY... all dots, dashes, number of rows, country of origin, etc. ....very important.
