All About Pocket Knives

I have taken a "temporary" break from my pursuit of obtaining every knife pattern that Camillus ever made. Winning that MOP whittler auction on eBay for $600+ drained my wallet (only kidding. I'm crazy, but not insane). I have discovered the joys of pursuing plain, simple, stainless steel knives. Here are 5 (so far) of the stainless steel, "Hunting & Fishing" knives.
Top to bottom they are:

Cousin Willie's - Japan
G. Schrade's - USA
Giegfried - Japan
Scotchline - Japan
Scotchline - Pakistan

I have found that i often get as much enjoyment from a $20-$30 knife as i do from knives costing up to 10 times as much. You do not have to spend a lot of money to enjoy obtaining knives.

I don't see a Case fly fishing knife.
Of course they are a bit on the expensive side...

I agree KJ, sometimes the fact that I spent a lot of money on a knife may actually detract from my enjoyment of it. Of course those things are all relative to the brand of knife, pattern of knife, condition, etc. If it is really an exceptional knife I can usually enjoy it in spite of the price!

NWNY, Very nice way of collecting, nice focus. As a fisherman I have noticed a number of knives that target the fishing market - I've even thought about focusing on various types of fishing knives - but my focus on hunting knives has already caused me to be eligible to star in an episode of "Hoarders" so I have resisted (so far). OH

I like “Indiscriminate Accumulator”, has a very upscale ring to it!

Those are very nice and I don’t believe I’ve run across them before. The thinness reminds me of Mercators or douk-douks.

I guess I’m a Indiscriminate Accumulator too. I keep swearing I’m sticking to my Richards.
Oh, and my gentleman’s/watchfob knives.
Whoops, can’t forget the fixed ‘fish and bird’ knives.

Well best think for me is to stay off ebay listings. You wouldn't believe how much i'v spent since joining AAPK...

Well i am going to try and stick to Queens and Schatt & Morgans from now on. I like them the most out of the ones i've grabbed.
I guess trading them on here would be the best way to go. Not spend any more on bay binges... Think i can do it...

Now don't get me started on guitars...
