There is a man made handle that might be acrylic that can look similar to handles on this Bulldog. Is there an easy way to differentiate natural horn from synthetic ?

I don't know. kj would you happen to have a picture of the synthetic, or a reference where I might see it?

I did have some older Bertram and other German knives that have what i think is man made 'horn', but i might have already sold them. I will search what i do have and if i find any i will post pictures later today.

I could not find the knives i was thinking of with 'man made horn' handles. Happens often: age or because i did sell them ? Dunno.
But i did find some knives to show. Two have genuine horn handles. A little bug told me. And 2 with 'i'm not sure handles', one a Kabar peanut and the other a "Riethmuller" multiblade (German ?) which is likely real horn but i am not certain as the bugs have not touched it.
