I bought these this past week for $25.00.

Pretty nice.

I’ve seen that etch on a Robeson Razor, but never on a table knife.

Wish there had been a set of eight, but there wasn’t.

Gunsil, other than WWII issue knives, I’ve never had much to do with Robeson straight knives.

Is there a number on the back side?

Handle is suggesting 1950’s to me.

And the blade is very much like that of a WWII Army issue knife.

Good looking table ware, Charlie.

There was a brown jigged bone set on EBay a few months back, but it was missing a fork, so it was six knives and five forks and they still wanted way too much for them.

Would like to have a set like that, though.

Thanks Charlie, I am pretty sure the big 8" is pre-WW2. Those table knives are in fantastic condition. Do you think they were Robeson made, or contract made for them?.

No idea.

The forks are not marked, at all and other than that banner etch, the knives aren't either.

I have a white bone handled set that I've had for many years.

The handles are not really as white as that photo suggests. They are a yellow/tan.

In owning a few knives and forks, I don't see where the forks are stamped at all.
Not necessarily Robeson. Other Makers.

I agree. I've seen Catt sets and the forks were not marked. Only indication they belonged with the knives were the matching handles or they were all boxed together.
