All About Pocket Knives

So, did anyone else see the Camillus Rimfire stockman that was briefly on ebay a week ago? 22lr bullet shield but no other marking except Camillus tang stamp. It disappeared the next day and no amount of searching brought it up.

Just hope that someday it makes it's way into one of our hands. If somone here was able to get it or there is another out there I'd love more pics.

Rotten here are pic's of the complete set. I don't have any individual pic's of just the stockman. I'll try to remember to get a pic next time I have it out.

My 22LR7

Thanks Vit, yours is in a lot better condition than mine and it is a large knife.

Your pictures are great vit_213. I own a mint .22LR7 that was auctioned together with an unrelated Queen Mtn. Man. The series has a feature that I do not easily spot in pictures, brass bolsters. They go with the brass cartridge shield. Except for the bolster metal and slant angles the large Stockman is the same knife Buck sold as their 307 Wrangler and Remington sold as their 9501 with carbon steel blades. I have been carrying around a Rem. 9501 for quite a while. It gets the pocket time mainly because it was pitted and worn before I bought it. I have not yet owned a 72 pattern Camillus. One from the .22LR series would go well with my large .22LR Stockman. With patience I'll run across the one I want and Rotten will find one of the .22LR large Stockmans.

I've never been fond of brass bolsters and was not overly impressed (my opinion only) with the LR series so the LR-6 is a standalone in my pile.

When I saw the on on ebay it did not have the Rimfire etch and I assume it was an unsold second or a parts knife. I was unaware that the large stockman was a regular part of the set.

Thanks to the AAPK store I will soon have a LR-4 Muskrat and a LR-6 Stockman/Whittler to add to my LR1 & LR-2. Just need to find a 3,5,and 7 now.

Rotten, when I was looking the 3 came along pretty regular but the 5 and 7 did not show nearly as often. Good luck.

The 22LR7 is 4¼" closed. The #78 is 3-7/8" closed.
