CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS KNIFE?

Post by dlr110 »

I love old knives, the older the better. If it looks old I’ll buy it just to do the research on it. I can tell this once “Hawkbill” knife is old, with aged wood handle and carbon steel blade. The picture shows the tang stamp very worn, but you can still make out the letters ….SLEY BROS. in an arched fashion and the letter T just below it.

Does anyone know of a company name that could match this stamp?

I'm betting you are correct Sir. For my collection it is perfect, it's old, it's well used, so it has many of stories. The knife and the company is a part of our history and why I collect knives. Thank you for responding with the information.
