All About Pocket Knives

This NOT a perfect knife... but, can someone help me to see what decade this knife might be, it's a Colonial Providence R. I. it's a good Carbon Steel knife all over, possible celluloid handle, one blade only, maybe before the scaler and hook remover was invented?

I like Colonial even that much more now, never knew it was founded by three Italian Brothers - I love reading Stories about Italian Heritage success stories, Where they got their start here in America having Came over through Ellis Island and made their Way here in America and have Contributed in Numerous Historical Ways - there is a Book all about Italians Contributions and Accomplishments here in the America ~ Its called the Golden Milestone ~ Wonder if the Paolantonio Brothers and their Knife Company is Listed in it ~ They probably are ~ !

My Uncle Frederic was a United States Army Medic in World War Two - He got Medals and everything and Saved Countless Lives in the War ~ Amazing Man ~ My Uncle Fred, they all were ~ to me anyways ~ Amazing

Although it looks a lot like a fish knife it is actually called a,"tickler" by some and a,"Saturday Night Special" by others. As to the tang stamp: Is the word Colonial in a straight line or is it curved? This will help date the knife. If you check in the Q&A forum on here there is a considerable list of tang stamp identifications and especially for Colonial.

The Colonial is a curve

Here’s the tang stamps thread. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39799. You can probably date your knife If you do a search for Colonial and compare with your knife.

additional info of this knife also with Providence then R I under this So it seems pre WWII?
