This month, Leeramundo (Stanley) has donated a Queen Barlow with walnut covers and D2 steel. Thanks for your generosity Here's what you are playing for:

The Queen Cutlery #69 Barlow from 2015 features American Walnut handle scales with a tough D2 Tool Steel blade. With great walk and talk, a smooth even pull, and beautiful finishes, this Queen Barlow would make a classic addition to your traditional pocket knife collection. The coverall length is 6 1/4" and closed it’s 3 1/4". The main blade length is 2 3/8" and it weights a mere 4oz.

Instructions for entering the giveaway...

Please note you will now have up to 6:00 PM Eastern Time to pick a number on the day of the drawing not a day before like previous drawings!

You will have until April 30 (6:00 P.M. Eastern) to pick a number. After this time, an official "Final List" of the entrants will be posted in this thread. The winner will be determined by the Illinois State Lottery evening pick three drawing on April 30. The Individual closest to the selected number without going over will win. The Illinois lottery results can be found on the following website:

You must be 18 years of age or older to play. The winner will be sent a PM after the drawing and will have 10 days to respond with your name and shipping address, if you do not respond within the allotted time the knife will be given to the next closest winner on the list without going over.

Congrats NS. I always choose 383 since it's part of my user name. Somehow I hit the enter button on number "1". I started to contact the mods and see if I could get it changed back to 383. Figured it wasn't worth the hassle.

Well it's happened again NapalmSloth failed to respond to my PM with his/her shipping information within 10-days and the new winner of the April 2019 giveaway is MT-Vessel who now has 10-days to respond to my PM in his inbox.

Just so everyone is aware, the rules of the monthly giveaway were established by the site owner who is passionate about inclusion in the giveaway rather than exclusion. Many sites have giveaways that require a minimum number of posts over a certain period of time to participate, but AAPK has elected to open the giveaway to all registered members no matter how many posts you've made or how "active" you've been.

Sadly, in the year that I've been helping with the monthly giveaway, many months (like April 2019), I'm looking to the second or even third place winner because of the lack of response from the first winning member. To me, if I'm going to take a chance on a beautiful knife that somebody reached into their collection to giveaway, I'm going to find the time somewhere within 10-days after the number is chosen to check-back to see who won. A perplexing situation to which I don't have a good answer.
