Anyone Know Bayonet's

My neighbor found this Bayonet and I think it's old but don't know how to age it or anything about them. I think it's a Spanish made bayonet and could be very old. The sheath is kind of rubbery leather.

i think it's for a spanish mouser. used well into the 20th century.

Thank you very much Jonet. After you replied I did a little research and you are exactly correct on the Rifle. I can only find it used from 1893 until 1900. Use this link to find a site and then look down you will find 3 Spanish Mauser. This is the 2nd one on the list.

these rifles were used all over the world long after production ended. still in use in the middle east, with those bayos.

oh ok , got ya , thanks again. He just wanted some idea of what he had. I don't know how old this one is but it's in good over all condition. very little rust on the knife itself but the sheath has considerable rust on the both ends.
