All About Pocket Knives

During the weeks after 9-11 and the economy was on the fritz, I was gonna do my part. I was going to put some money into the economy. Went to the local hardware store and picked up this Case mini trapper. Had never bought a brand new knife before this. I thought the full sized Trapper was a little too big for a EDC. Don't remember what I paid for it. About 7 years ago I had the the scales replaced with Stag . Ken Nelson, who runs Iron Wolf Forge did the work for me. He is a Blade/Blacksmith here in Wisconsin. Was his first attempt at this on a folder. Turned out great, the blades fit fine, stag handles fit great. He charged me 40 dollars. Also had him fabricate a custom made hand tail for the stoop on my house. He will be at the Badger Knife show this weekend. Stop by and see him if you're there. Will take a pic of the hand rail if anyone is interested. So everyday I put this in my pocket I'm reminded of that terrible day. Can't believe I haven't lost it yet! It was MIA for a few weeks. Wife found it in the washing machine! So there's my story of my EDC.

Mr. Nelson did an excellent job on your trapper.
Only thing we find in our washing and dryer machines is an occasionally penny.

I have found through the years that the longer I carry a particular knife, the more attached to it I become.
