I got this Queen stag trapper on ebay and would like to know what kind of steel the blades are? The only markings on the blades are "Queen City" in cursive writing. Here's the link to the auction, Thanks.

Can't say for certain but I was always under the impression that the Queen City series of recent years was made with "Queen Steel". I heard once that this is a synonym for 420 stainless. But I am no expert by any means.

I think that one was made in the 80's so it may be 440A, if not then 420. It actually may be an overrun of a limited edition.

There has been a recent series marked Queen City in 1095 but that is not one of them.
