Ulster Stainless Steel Fishing Knife

I've developed a "liking" for the old, 2 blade fishing knifes.
I purchased this one off E-bay awhile ago and just started working on it recently. I cleaned it up and installed some new amber jigged bone handles in the rope pattern. I used nickel silver pins throughout. Both blades had minimal wear, the main blade was etched so I left the blades alone (there was some scratching but that's expected on an older knife).
I'm Pretty happy with it (there's some flaws for sure but they seem to be fairly minimal so I accept them).

Here's the knife disassembled and with some preliminary cleaning;

Bone slabs cut to length, fitted and glued to the handles;

Bone handles roughly shaped;

I like the pattern and the color;

Jeffinn, that ole knife must be proud as a peacock! You dressed that little fellow up wonderfully. Love the color of the scales and the pattern. Excellent job. ::nod:: ::nod::

Very Nice! That bone gives it a fish-like appearance, too!

Nice restoration Jeff! ::tu::
Nothing wrong with that one! ::groove::

I am in the middle of a Case fish knife right now. I will post pictures of it when I finish.

Jeffinn, That's a really sharp looking knife, I love the Rope pattern scales. Where do you get bone scales in that pattern?

I buy all my bone scales from Culpepper. Good stuff, fair prices and decent shipping (if you order $100). I buy a lot of factory seconds or bones that are less than perfect.
