Camillus Electricians Knife

I had a few of these in my project box. I decide to make one a single blade EDC with smooth Sunset bone handles. I still haven't managed to get the pivot pin to disappear but I feel like I'm getting closer.
All in all it turned out okay. (Looks like I still have a little compound around a few of the pins, I'll give it another cleaning)

Wow! I just did one of the electrician knives as my first project and by looking at focus I see I have a lot to learn! That's fantastic!

When I was teaching myself knife repair I discovered that I could take pictures and blow them up and see where I was making mistakes. It takes flaws invisible to the human eye and makes them look like meteorite craters! I still use that technique once in a while if I suspect a crack in the handle but can't find it.
Remember when you're looking at these knives under high magnification your "glaring mistakes" are generally so small nobody can see them with their naked eye and that's very good thing!

I agree! Photos seem to show every little flaw. I have gone back and tried to improve things I hadn't noticed, until I looked at the pictures.

That's a solid mod in my book! I still have issues with pins showing on certain knives, don't let it get you down.
