Can anyone date this imperial Tang stamp?

Interesting stamp! I wonder what patent had been applied for? It isn't for shell handles obviously so it must have something to do with the knife in question.Is there anything unusual about the knife that would warrant a patent? There are two posts on Imperial tang stamps and neither one shows this.If I had to guess I would say 1920's.

I thought it was interesting. I couldn't find any information on it. I was guessing 1920's as well.

I believe the patent would be for the interframe handles.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
