Here's a 12 CM Coricama that I made new shell wraps for the handles.

I texture the handle, selectively electroplate it in nickel, silver, copper, brass, or gold-then I apply successive coats of casting epoxy.
Once the buildup is adequate and the finish has hardened, I file/sand it to even thickness, then polish it.
Takes quite a bit of time, but the result is worth the effort.

Bill, it looks like very pleasing and accurate work.
The blade looks new. Is it an old knife?

It's a 1950s knife. I completely refurbished it, plus put in a new spring.
