Hello there :)

So I came to AAPK by way of a link from treasurenet.com, of which I'm also a member. Someone in my family passed away a few years ago and it come to me and the wife to sell of the vast collections of antiques that had been collected. Now I don't mean country kitchy stuff. No rolling pins or rug beaters. I'm talking real antiques, and almost all smalls. Politicals, tokens, medals, badges, world's fair, advertising, and on and on. We had a religious relic from the fourteenth century. The person had intended on becoming an antique dealer later in life, but just never made it. This individual traveled all over the US shopping, and had done so since the 1960's. Some of the items we're going through hasn't seen sunlight in over forty years.

One of the collections is pocket knives, a personal favorite of theirs, which was put away because I know enough to know that I don't know squat about them. Now I have a place to go with them.

Now I also like knives, and own a few myself. I have a McCrackin railroad spike knife that I bought from the man himself at a knife show way back around 1995 in NYC. I also have a handmade Kelgin, a beautiful piece of work, bought from the smith about the same time.

Welcome to AAPK. Glad to have you aboard. As for pictures, yes we enjoy them immensely but right at this moment in time there seems to be a little grit in the gears and for some reason they are not loading. Keep the faith. It will be working a little later.
