Trying to identify an old art deco knife

Hi!
I found this old advertising knife. The blade was covered in thick crusty rust. I used the oil and copper penny trick (amazing!) and removed the rust but it didn't help too much other than make the blade look and feel better.
At the base of the blade, both on the same side, it has a stamped name and a cursive word. The rust has pitted it away the stamp and the case blocks the the other word. I've been searching for a few days, trying to deduce what either word says and I'm not getting very far. After studying my pics (taken with a usb microscope), the cursive writing could be a stamp, but it's a heck of a place for it! Why put it there? Why not put it on the other side of the blade, where it is blank, so it's easier to see?
I am thinking that the block letter stamped word is RAWSON. There's a thread here at AAPK from 2006 about a Rawson /Sheffield connection.
I'm hoping that someone here might recognize something on the blade. I know the knife is from Swank, I know the three dogs are Pharaoh Hounds. I'd really like to know what the blade says.
(the pic of the whole knife was taken pre-derusting)
