Recently bought a WWII era Kinfolks knife without a sheath and wondering if you guys could recommend someone who could duplicate an original leather sheath.

Do you have the correct sheath, or an old one that can be used as a pattern?
I'm not familiar with the type of sheaths Kinfolks produced but if it is not too complex or requires leather tooling I may be able to reproduce one for you, if you can't find anyone else. But I know there are people who are very capable I sheath makers on this forum. I would try one of them first.

I don't have the original sheath for a pattern and have actually just bought it off EBay and haven't received it yet. The blade length is 6.5 inches, with overall length at 10.5. The blade is stamped "EGW Kinfolks" and it has a serrated top edge. I have only found one photo of the knife and sheath on-line, so not sure how rare or collectable the knife is (I am not a knife collector). I sent an email to Kinfolks to see if they could be a source for the sheath, no reply back from them. How would I contact a sheath maker on this forum (new member here)?

Thanks I appreciate the help. I was on EBay just checking WWII Militaria and the knife only had a couple of low bids with a minute remaining, so I submitted another and got it. It appears to be a nice knife from the ad photos, and it certainly deserves to have a decent sheath. I know nothing about Kinfolks knives except what I learned the last couple of days. The company seems to have a pretty interesting history closely associated with Case knives.

Bryan, I can probably make you a sheath, however I'm not familiar with Kinfolks sheath, I would need to look at a photo of the knife and some measurements. It would probably run about $40 plus shipping. Send me a photo to [email protected]
