Knife Related Memes

I frequently run across memes that are knife related, especially since I am a member of a dozen or so FB knife groups. Some times, the relationship is blatantly obvious, while at other times, it's just a little obscure.
I figured I'd start a thread where we could consolidate knife memes in one handy place.
When I saw this one, I realized it perfectly describes a prime reason to always have a knife. You never know when you will need to open something.

Hasn't made it into the Oxford dictionary yet. Generally, it's all those pictures with words at the top expressing a thought with the words at the bottom completing the statement, usually in some oddball way compared to the expected finish.
meme
/mēm/
noun
an element of a culture or system of behavior that may be considered to be passed from one individual to another by nongenetic means, especially imitation.
- a humorous image, video, piece of text, etc., that is copied (often with slight variations) and spread rapidly by Internet users.

One of the biggest reasons for using memes on Facebook is because their algorithms cannot read words written in a meme. It's like trying to copy the words out of a JPEG file and put them into a Word document. It's two different ways of processing data and they don't mix.
On Facebook, Instagram and other social media, memes are often used to deliver a political message that maybe banned buy that social media or censored by their alogrithms.

They remind me of the contests magazines used to run. They’d show a picture then ask for captions. You’d mail in your answer then they’d publish the funniest next month.
Only now it happens instantly and the funny ones go viral.

Thanks for the very clear explanation of "meme". That they are common on Facebook etc. shows me how 'out of it' i really am that i do not even know the word.
I was perfectly 'at home' & knowledgeable until mid 1990's when all this pixel stuff invaded and conquered the entire world. I missed the bus and am stuck in Reality.

Don’t be so hard on yourself KJ. I had seen and laughed at thousands of them before I knew what they were called. Just a picture with a funny caption.

If a 'church key' can be considered a form of cutlery, I have a good one. PM me for .jpg. Stiff upper lips need not apply.
